A new report reveals that Chinese apps have taken more data from users than required. These apps include apps from many companies like WeChat, Weibo and Didi Chuxing.
The China Consumer Association is investigating this matter. This is the Consumer Rights Association which looks at Chinese products and consumer issues. This association is investigating more than 90 popular applications. Users have been accused of collecting more data from these apps. Sixth Tone has given information of this report.
The list of these apps contains instant messaging, social media, and other service apps in China. Some of these apps have stolen the data without informing users, while some apps have caught the data of the users that they do not need.
Department of Market Supervision Service Association director Pi Xiaolin said that we found that has achieved many such apps that it’s users data that they do not have any need. Apart from this, he is not giving any information while collecting data from the users, which is not correct.
